I specialize in oils of wildlife subjects in their
natural habitat

As
a wildlife artist there are enormous advantages to experiencing
your subject matter first hand. I believe that drawing
and painting from life has really accelerated my learning.
With
field studies as the all important starting point follow
my working methods and see a painting develop. I
am particularly interested in depicting animal behaviour
and habitat detail in conceptual painting compositions.
My touch is to then heighten the mood through the use of
dramatic lighting and atmospheric weather conditions.
